The T-Brace Product
T-Brace is made to increase span and rigidity of walk-boards and
scaffolding planks. It is meant to be used in a set of three, minimum.
By inserting a 2 x 10 horizontally in the top opening of the brace,
and a 2 x 6 vertically in the bottom of the brace, a t-beam is created,
allowing longer span between supports.
The T-Brace itself weighs 3.3 ibs. It is easily transported from site to
site, and standard lumber typically available on site allows you to
create a safer, longer, more rigid walk-board.

used.  Lumber should be inspected and found free of structural defects and shall bear the seal of a recognized grading
agency.  The allowable load for this T- Brace System is to be determined using the current edition of the National
Design Specification for Wood Construction, (ANSI/AF& PA NDS), and the Supplement to the NDS.  This T-Brace
should be placed as close as possible to the support member.  This T-Brace should be installed no less than 4 inches
from the end of the plank (2x10), or the strong back (2x6).  Place nails, (16 penny or greater), in holes provided.

The maximum allowable load for a single T-Brace system is 500 lbs.  There should be no more than seven feet between
braces at any time.  Never use a T-Brace without the pin fully inserted and locked in place.  Carefully inspect the
T-Brace before each use.  If there are any visible signs of wear, that T-Brace should be discarded and another one
used.  Always use guardrails, catch platforms, railings, fall protection, and other safety equipment as required by
local, state, and federal OSHA regulations.  T-Brace should not be used with wet or frozen conditions.
This product must be used in strict compliance with local, state and federal
OSHA regulations.  Be safety conscious.
